Why a web agency builds its own POS software
Most agencies only build for clients. We also build and operate our own product. UptrendPOS started because the shop owners we worked with were stuck between expensive point-of-sale systems and spreadsheets that could not keep up. We set out to build cloud POS software that is affordable, simple to learn and reliable on a busy shop floor.
The result is a cloud system built with Flutter, the same technology we use for client apps. It runs on Android devices, Windows PCs and in the browser, stores data securely in the cloud, and is designed offline-first, so a dropped connection never stops a sale.
Running a live product keeps our standards high. The lessons about reliability, security and careful releases go straight back into the websites and apps we build for clients.

At the till
Staff scan barcodes or tap products on screen, take payment and print or send a receipt. The POS system updates stock levels instantly.
When the internet drops
