Cookie policy
Which cookies we use, why, and how you can control them.
Last updated 31 October 2026

This cookie policy explains how agrsoft.co.uk uses cookies and similar technologies such as browser storage, and how you can control them. It should be read alongside our privacy policy.

What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies, such as local storage, work in a comparable way. They help websites work properly, remember your preferences and understand how they are used.
Your choice
When you first visit our site we ask whether you accept analytics cookies. We do not set analytics or advertising cookies unless you choose "Accept analytics". You can change your choice at any time with the cookie settings link, which is also in the footer of every page.
We use Google Consent Mode, which means Google tags on our site respect your choice. If you decline, Google Analytics does not store cookies on your device.
Cookies and storage we use
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| agruk_consent | Essential (local storage) | Remembers your cookie choice so we do not ask on every page. | Until you clear it |
| Hosting and security cookies | Essential | Set by our hosting and caching system to deliver pages quickly and securely. | Session to 1 year |
| _ga, _ga_* | Analytics (only with consent) | Google Analytics 4, used to count visits and see which pages are useful. | Up to 2 years |
Third-party content
Our contact and about pages include a Google Map. To protect your privacy, the map only loads when you click "Load the Google map". Google may then set its own cookies, governed by Google's privacy policy.
Managing cookies in your browser
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential storage may affect how parts of the site work. Guidance for popular browsers is available at ico.org.uk.
Why this cookie policy matters
The Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) require websites to ask for consent before storing non-essential cookies on your device. This cookie policy explains our approach in plain English, so you can make an informed choice. The ICO publishes guidance for organisations on cookies and similar technologies.
Essential cookies and storage
Essential cookies and storage are needed for the website to work and cannot be switched off through our banner. They remember your cookie choice, keep pages secure and help our hosting deliver pages quickly. They do not track you across other websites.
Analytics cookies
Analytics cookies help us understand which pages are useful and where visitors get stuck. We use Google Analytics 4 only after you choose "Accept analytics". The data is aggregated, and we do not use it to identify you personally. If you choose "Essential only", Google Analytics runs in a cookieless mode through Google Consent Mode, which sends no identifying cookies.
Advertising cookies
We do not currently use advertising or retargeting cookies on agrsoft.co.uk. If that changes, we will update this cookie policy and ask for your consent first.
Changing your mind
You can change your choice whenever you like. Click "Cookie settings" in the footer of any page to open the banner again, then choose the option you prefer. You can also delete cookies and site data in your browser at any time.
Managing cookies in popular browsers
- Google Chrome: Settings, then Privacy and security, then Third-party cookies or Delete browsing data.
- Safari: Settings, then Privacy, then Manage Website Data.
- Microsoft Edge: Settings, then Cookies and site permissions.
- Mozilla Firefox: Settings, then Privacy and Security, then Cookies and Site Data.
Browser menus change from time to time, so check your browser's help pages if these steps look different.
How long cookies last
Some cookies are deleted when you close your browser (session cookies), while others remain for a set period (persistent cookies). The table above shows how long each cookie we use lasts. Your cookie choice itself is stored in your browser until you clear it, so you are not asked again on every visit.
Cookies on other websites
When you follow a link from our website to another site, such as Google Maps, Facebook or uptrendpos.com, that site may set its own cookies. This cookie policy only covers agrsoft.co.uk, so please check the other site's own policy.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Some browsers send a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. Because we only set analytics cookies after you opt in, you remain in control regardless of these signals, and you can always choose "Essential only" in our banner.
Updates to this cookie policy
We review this cookie policy whenever we add or remove a tool that uses cookies. The date at the top of the page shows the latest version.
